Dr Benjamin Kwan is an endocrinologist committed to evidence-based and individualised care for his patients.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 2011 and completed advanced training in Endocrinology at Nepean Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Dr Kwan obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2018. He also completed a Master of Medicine in Metabolic Health (MMed) with the University of Sydney in 2018.

Dr Kwan currently works as a Visiting Medical Officer at Canterbury Hospital where he runs the Rapid Access Diabetes Clinic and Complex Diabetes Clinic services. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney and is passionate about teaching.

Dr Kwan’s clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of general endocrinology, including diabetes, thyroid disease, calcium and parathyroid disorders, bone health, and adrenal and pituitary disorders. He has a special interest in primary aldosteronism, an under-recognised but treatable form of secondary hypertension.

Outside of work, Dr Kwan enjoys running for personal fitness, riding motorcycles, and playing the piano.
